How We Make What We Make
Every piece of ARKH jewellery starts with a choice — about materials, about people, about how things are made. We're proud of those choices, and we want you to know exactly what they are.
Thoughtful Materials
Lab-grown diamonds. Every diamond in our Radiance collection is grown in a laboratory — chemically, optically, and physically identical to a mined diamond, with a fraction of the environmental impact. Each stone is independently certified by IGI or GIA, graded to a minimum of G colour and VS2 clarity. Our family has worked in the diamond trade for over 25 years through Akash Ganga Jewellers in Meerut, India. We chose lab-grown deliberately — because we believe the future of diamonds shouldn't cost the earth.
925 sterling silver. All Heritage artefacts and Everyday jewellery are crafted in 925 sterling silver, hallmarked and certified. Heritage silver comes through trusted partners in Meerut who we've worked with for years. Everyday silver is sourced from Thailand through a supplier we've personally vetted and visited.
Gold. Radiance pieces are set in 9K, 14K, or 18K gold — white, yellow, or rose. Our gold is sourced through workshop partners in India who our family has worked with for over two decades. We know the people, we've walked the workshops, and we trust the supply chain — not because of a logo on a certificate, but because of relationships built over 25 years.
People We Trust
ARKH is designed in Melbourne and brought to life by craftspeople in India who we've known — in some cases — since childhood.
Our family business, Akash Ganga Jewellers, has operated in Meerut since 2000 — a retail space of three floors and a workshop on the fourth. The partners who produce our Radiance and Heritage pieces work from the same building. These aren't anonymous factory relationships. They're people we grew up alongside, people who take pride in what they make, and people who are paid fairly for the skill and care they bring.
For our Everyday line, we work with a trusted silver workshop in Thailand — personally visited, directly managed, no agents in between.
We believe the best jewellery comes from long relationships, not long supply chains.
Packaging With Purpose
Everyday: Glass bottles with cork lids, paired with hand-illustrated art cards printed on card stock. No single-use plastic in the product packaging. The bottles are designed to be kept — as ring holders, desk ornaments, or small keepsakes. The packaging is part of the gift, not something you throw away.
Radiance & Heritage: Jewellery boxes designed to feel like the moment deserves. We prioritise both presentation and protection.
Across all lines: We're actively working toward fully recyclable outer packaging on every shipment. We're not 100% there yet, but we're getting closer with every order.
Honest About Where We Are
We'd rather be upfront than overclaim.
What we do have is 25 years of direct relationships with the people who make our pieces — relationships built on trust, fair treatment, and mutual respect.
We haven't calculated our full carbon footprint. What we have done is choose lab-grown over mined, direct partnerships over anonymous supply chains, small-batch production over mass manufacturing, and packaging designed to be kept rather than discarded.
We're a young brand making deliberate choices. As we grow, our commitments will grow with us — and this page will be updated to reflect that honestly.
Want to know more about how a specific piece is made, where it comes from, or who made it? We love that question. Message Palak — we'd rather share the story than summarise it.
