About ARKH
Q: Who is behind ARKH?
A: ARKH is run by Palak Mittal, based between Meerut & Melbourne. The brand grew out of Akash Ganga Jewellers, a family-run jewellery house founded in Meerut, India in 2000. ARKH brings 25 years of family craft to a contemporary audience.
Q: What does ARKH mean?
A: ARKH carries two meanings woven together. In Hindi, arka (अर्क) means essence — the distilled heart of something. The spelling also draws from arc — as in Noah's Arc — the vessel that carries what matters safely through time. Every ARKH piece is meant to hold both: an essence of a moment, carried forward as something to keep.
Q: Are your collections different?
A: Yes — we have three distinct collections, each made differently:
- Radiance — custom lab-grown diamond jewellery, made to order in Meerut
- Heritage — silver artefacts and atelier pieces, hand-made and exported from India
- Everyday — sterling silver gifting jewellery, designed in Melbourne with artisan production in Thailand (coming soon internationally!)
Each has its own timeline, pricing, and process.
Materials & Craft
Q: What metals do you use?
A: All ARKH jewellery is solid 925 sterling silver, 9K, 14K, or 18K gold depending on the piece. Radiance pieces are available in white, yellow, and rose gold. We do not use plated, filled, or vermeil metals.
Q: Are your diamonds real?
A: Yes — Radiance pieces use IGI-certified lab-grown diamonds. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and visually identical to mined diamonds, with full grading certificates. They're a more ethical and accessible choice for the same beauty.
Q: Do you offer GIA-certified diamonds?
A: We work with IGI certification by default, which is the global standard for lab-grown diamonds. If you'd like GIA certification specifically, mention it during your consultation and we'll source accordingly.
Q: What about gemstones?
A: Our gemstones are natural or lab-grown depending on the piece. Each product page specifies. For Radiance custom pieces, you can choose either.
Ordering & Custom Pieces
Q: How does the Radiance custom process work?
A: Every Radiance piece is custom-made for you. You book a complimentary consultation (WhatsApp or video call), we discuss your design preferences, stone size and quality, metal choice, and budget. We send you visualisations, confirm the order, and your piece is then made in India and shipped to you. Total timeline: 4–6 weeks from order confirmation.
Q: Can I customise an Everyday or Heritage piece?
A: Some Heritage pieces are made to order — this is noted on the product page. Everyday pieces are generally ready-stock but we can engrave or personalise selected items. Reach out via WhatsApp to discuss.
Q: What's the minimum carat size for Radiance engagement rings?
A: We work from 0.30 carat upwards. Most clients choose between 0.50 and 2.00 carat. We'll guide you to the right stone size based on the setting, your finger, and your budget..
Shipping
Q: Where do you ship?

Q: How long will my order take?
A:
- Heritage (ready stock): 2–3 days + 2–3 weeks shipping (from India)
- Heritage (made to order): 2–4 weeks production + 2–3 weeks shipping
- Radiance: 4–6 weeks from order confirmation
Q: What does shipping cost?
A: Free shipping on all orders.
Q: Is my order tracked?
A: Yes. You'll receive tracking by email as soon as your piece is dispatched. High value pieces require signature-on-delivery.
Returns & Exchanges
Q: Can I return my order?
A: Yes — most pieces can be returned within 7 days. Terms vary by collection:
- Heritage & Radiance: 20% restocking fee applies (these are imported / made-to-order pieces)
- Atelier, engraved, and earring pieces: non-returnable except for defects

Q: What if my piece arrives damaged?
A: Contact us within 3 days at contact@arkhjewels.com or WhatsApp with photos. We'll arrange a full refund, replacement, or repair — at no cost to you.
Care & Lifetime Value
Q: How do I care for sterling silver?
A: Store pieces in a dry place, ideally in the pouch they came in. Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, chlorine, and salt water. Clean gently with a silver polishing cloth. Sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time — this is normal and easily restored.
Q: Do you offer repairs?
A: Yes. ARKH pieces are made to last, and we repair our work for the lifetime of the piece. Repair pricing depends on the work needed — contact us for a quote.
Q: What's the Lifetime Value Guarantee?
A: For Radiance pieces, after 18 months of ownership we offer:
- 60% cash buyback of your original price, or
- 90–100% upgrade credit toward a new Radiance piece

Sizing
Q:How do I find my ring size?
A:For Radiance custom pieces, sizing is confirmed during your consultation.
Q:Can I resize a piece later?
A:Yes — most pieces can be resized. There's a small charge depending on metal and size change. Engraved pieces may have limitations.

Q: How do I book a consultation?
A: Free consultations are available via Video Appointment, regular WhatsApp chat, or email. We'll talk through what you're looking for, your timeline, and your budget — no pressure, no obligation. Book here
Q: How quickly do you respond?

Q: Can I see ARKH pieces in person?
A: Yes — Heritage and Radiance pieces are available to view at our Meerut Showroom. Walk-ins welcome.
Sourcing & Ethics
Q: Are your diamonds ethical?
A: Lab-grown diamonds bypass the ethical concerns of traditional diamond mining — no conflict zones, no environmental devastation, no labour exploitation. Each stone is certified by IGI.
Q: Where is your silver from?
A: Heritage and Radiance silver and gold work is done in our family's atelier in Meerut, India. Both relationships are long-standing and direct — no middlemen.
Q: Are your packaging materials recyclable?
A: Yes — our packaging sustainable. We avoid plastic wherever possible.
Payment
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept all major credit cards, Google Pay, and bank transfer for larger order values.
Q: Can I pay in installments?
A: For Radiance pieces, we also offer a 50/50 payment plan — 50% on order confirmation, 50% before dispatch.
Q: Is my payment secure?
A: Yes — all transactions are processed through Shopify with SSL encryption. We never store credit card details.
